Dry vans are the preferred shipping method for commodities that can not get wet.  Electronics, pallets of boxes, textiles and canned goods are some examples of freight that needs to ship in a dry van.  

Dry vans come in lengths from 28′, know as a pup trailer, up to 53′.  

Perishable items typically ship in a refrigerated trailer.  Produce, dairy, meat, poultry and seafood all require this trailer type.  

Freight that will go into an enclosed trailer is typically priced by cubic volume as well as weight.
